Ok, one of the things you have to realise in this game is that much of the time the killing of others and of oneself is given scant consideration. So it’s up for debate whether the fate is worse than death. We have to accept in this instance that he would rather die than accept the fate that he believes is now in store for him, based on what he’s hearing on the radio.

He is a notorious ice knife murderer. It has just been announced that thermos flasks have been banned, as the police have connected them with the scenes of previous crimes. Realising his gig is up, he decides to kill himself, as killing people with ice knives was the only way he got any joy.
