I wonder if Senior Detective @Meowington might have a different take on this that would help us crack this one? Is she back from leave yet?

Can’t believe we’ve had to pull two all-nighters in a row.

I have completely lost track of this one! I tried to get the gist of what’s been ruled out but I’m so confused!

Well that’s what happens when you hire scab labour: dog murder.

Not strictly a tradesperson. Someone that had been to the Driscolls for a legitimate reason and not really “returned”. I think they probably hadn’t gone away.

Classic Senior Detective Meo!

Sounds like a ghost to me. Was it a ghost?

I’ve seen a lot of things in my time on the force, Filth. But nothing that ever made me believe in the supernatural.

Were the eclairs made by someone, or bought from the local supermarket and then doctored?

Made by someone.

The vicar’s wife? She’s always baking!

Is she?

She’s always made something for the parish coffee mornings. You should come and join us on our community table sometime chief - she makes an excellent victoria sandwich and doesn’t charge those of us on duty either!

NIce to know there’s still good people out there, eh Zeal?

We can get so jaded in this job.

Was it a visiting friend of the family? Or a member of the family?

A door to door cake seller, raising funds to fix the church roof. The Driscoll’s bought some of their delicious laced eclairs, and the would have been thief waited round the corner. Unfortunately for Laddy, he saw them on the plate and woofed them all down.

Not friend or family.

Babysitter?

Not someone who specialises in cakes.
Not someone visiting.

Laddy didn’t take them in a moment of opportunism.

No.
