Lovely stuff. What time of the year did you do it? And what was your budget like?
I think I managed to spend about €30 in 2017 a day but always stayed in the state or church owned albergues and cooked a lot of my own food.
I think I started in the 1st week of April, the snow had mostly gone in the pyrenees but it was still cool enough to walk from 6am until 2pm or so.
Have you done anything similar before? I’d like to go on a similar trip in the future but don’t know where else has the infrastructure.
Not done any camping aspect, but got a lot of love for the holidays where you just rock up at a different place to sleep along the way each night. Did a couple with my Mum - round the Isle of Wight at a different B&B each night, and through the Dolomites in north Italy staying in mountain hostels along the route - loved both of them.
As an aside, St Jean Pied de Port is bloody gorgeous
Did Hadrian’s Wall staying in hostels and B&Bs. Was great.
Aye beautiful town. Think we saw vultures walking out of there.
