I had a feeling before I posted it this phrase might be considered irksome. Unfortunately, if I find out someone doesn’t like a word or phrase, my first instinct is to start using it as much as possible in their presence, often crowbarring it in where it doesn’t even make sense.

It’s not rational I know but is it

  • hardly a stretch?
  • a bit of a stretch?
  • definitely stretching?
  • Ban request.
