Turn the spare oven on to about 75-100 degrees, pop plates in, ready in 5. No butlers needed

i put my side plates in the toaster
I warm my saucers in the George Foreman
during the sunny weather i kept all my crockery outside
i don’t have a garden so i had to lay it all out along the pavement

nah, 5-10 minutes from turning it on is enough to take the chill off your plates (hence reducing the risk of them cooling down your food too quickly)

Once heated plates so good they melted the wipeable tablecloth.
So not anymore. Except Christmas obvs
just constantly amazed at the idea that if your plates aren’t warmed then they’re absolutely ice cold and make your food inedible in minutes.
