after you have warmed them up nicely do you tuck them in and read them a bed time story?.. ‘Sigh, shaking head’ God dam plate warmers

In my experience those who warm their plates before a meal voted for Brexit.

Turn the spare oven on to about 75-100 degrees, pop plates in, ready in 5. No butlers needed

They’re busy cooking the food

Sorry, I stand corrected.

JUST to clarify…that’s a spare oven on the same unit…not a whole extra oven.

do you have to wait for the spare oven to preheat as well?

When the kitchen was done last year, some of the salesmen tried convincing us we needed a warming draw like this for £400+. Told them where to go.

Like @wonton I do preheat plates in the “spare” oven of the double oven.

nah, 5-10 minutes from turning it on is enough to take the chill off your plates (hence reducing the risk of them cooling down your food too quickly)

Once heated plates so good they melted the wipeable tablecloth.

So not anymore. Except Christmas obvs

just constantly amazed at the idea that if your plates aren’t warmed then they’re absolutely ice cold and make your food inedible in minutes.

either you all eat really slowly or you live in an igloo.
