Flippin’ hell.
Nursery day. Partner’s gone away and taken the car, looks frosty out so I can’t ride there, so I’m looking at a 30 minute walk each way. Which is fine, but I start work at 9am and she’s only just coming down the stairs

Beautiful out this morning
Kiddo was unwell all night (though fine now) so I can’t decide whether to do the nursery run or keep him home today. Either way lots of work to do and then out for drinks with some old colleagues tonight.

I greedily ate a big bag of wasabi peas last night and my mouth has tasted so strange ever since. I never learn.
Got up and washed my hair before work tho, that’s unusually productive of me! I start in 5 mins and it’s still wet mind you, feels like a camera off type of morning

Child woke in the night looking for a hug. Which would be fine if it wasn’t every night for the last week and it’s me getting up every time. Will go for a lunchtime nap I think.

Hello! I should be on a fun-looking for offsite but my wife has COVID so I’m at home. Bit of a bummer tbh, but I’m not going to work very much. Will probably do some recording and have a long walk in the freezing -13 or whatever it is outside.

The PO branch I’m meant to be working in today is completely uncontactable. Literally nothing happens when you ring the phone number. I’m not going in because it will cost me 60 pounds there and back in a taxi due to train strikes. I’m trying to ring them to tell them this. I’m only there as a Christmas helper for three days and they weren’t expecting me yesterday (which was really pleasant) so it’s not life and death if I don’t go in, but I have a set of keys that they gave me for getting to and from the customer area because I forgot they were still in my pocket when I left yesterday. I can’t fucking get in touch with them to tell them I’ve not just took some keys and done a runner and that I’ll be in tomorrow.
