That’s very true. It’s possible to be several drinks in by the time the wedding breakfast is served (often late afternoon), and quite possibly not have eaten since actual breakfast time

That said, I am a human who is able to make choices, so I’ve only myself to blame.

With my sister, I think my being upset was more down to worries about the relationship. Now that she’s in a much healthier, happier relationship I would not be at all fussed if they didn’t want anyone else at their wedding

I have a huge family with loads of little kids. It’s the total opposite with my fiancée.

We did a rough guestlist and there were as many children on my side (27!) as her whole list… :see_no_evil:

So we decided all my siblings can bring their kids and (where possible) for the rest, just the parents get invites. But as we have so many people coming from Scotland (we live in Berlin, she’s from here), most parents will bring their kids too. So we’re setting up a sort of dedicated kids room for them to just go crazy in. :slight_smile:

Haha! Yes! We had similar at my mates wedding in Poland. We were put on a table with mostly Poles who instructed us “Only do shots when we do - don’t drink like an English person”. Every now and then they’d raise a toast and we’d do a shot and drink some fruit juice.

The table next to us had mostly English people on it who were nipping to bar to get pints and whatnot. Was game over for them before sundown.
