can you punt it and get something cheaper? or would that be losing too much money

It’s on finance so I’ll still be paying for the fucker anyway. Definitely can’t afford any more outgoings.

ugh

:open_mouth: what costs 2 grand to fix?? and what car is it?

yeah, agree with all this. and also reading before i go to sleep certainly helps me a lot.

Back at work. Fuck this.

A cylinder in the engine. Apparently “these eco boost engines are a load of shit”. They just had one in with the same problem and that’s what it cost them.

Focus.

hey everyone

WFH today - I went into the office yesterday and no ones really in till monday anyway

Pretty fed up. Weather is shit, still coughing and the girl I was seeing over xmas has gone a bit quiet on me. Bah

2018 can fuck off.

Genuinely no idea what to do.

I’m guessing the car isn’t under warranty. Any chance of finding a replacement engine(?) from a scrappy?

I have no idea about cars, but according to the garage (who do seem quite helpful/not taking me for a ride) a new one would be about £4k, a second hand maybe half that.

And no it’s four years old. Still not old enough for this shit, but old enough for my arse not to be saved.

What’s the engine size?

1 litre.

?

Yep, that’d be the one. So plus labour…

I had assumed that the £2k was quoted for just the engine.
