I had a temp job doing quality control for the Austrian equivalent of the BBC. In London weirdly. Some German or Austrian person would type up the subtitles, and I would watch randomly picked 5 minute sections of the shows and review the quality of the (German) subtitles.

I also made new voiceover credit screens for old Donald Duck cartoons dubbed into Swedish, Norwegian and Danish. He’s called Anders And in Denmark. It was a weird way to get a miserly £6.50 per hour.

The world of rendering sounds to text is generally quite odd, but that seems like one of the weirder subsets!
