Weirdly though Peter Crouch although being far less decorated than Rooney has shown pretty great versatility and is mostly famous for changing clubs most seasons. He presents a podcast, he’s well liked, and will likely end up being a well known face of football on tv here for many years to come as a pundit. Wouldn’t be surprised if hes still on telly in twenty years.

See this is the stuff I love! Good to know.

Most washed up football players outside of the USA will come to play in the MLS in the twilight of their careers purely for money.

had to be some guy from like 1902 that never allowed a blip to get past him right?

683 games all for Portsmouth, wow.

EDIT: Sorry had a brief stint with Havant and Waterlooville for 3 caps.

We all dream of a team of Larrieus my friend.

Alan Knight never played on the England national team? Duped! He’s shite!!

Best goalkeeper I ever saw play was Alan Nicholls. Was at Plymouth about 1993, played a couple of seasons, won an England U21 cap, but had some attitude/behaviour issues and was let go. Absolutely sensational goalkeeper that would have gone all the way had he ironed out his issues but died in 1995 in a motorbike crash aged 22.

Who is the best American player to have any impact overseas in football? Yes I know it’s slim pickings, but if you had to choose one.
