just seen the second episode, but yes and no.

after their honeymoons they were all put up in their own houses/flats for a month, after that they had to decide if they wanted to stay together or divorce. 3 out of 4 couples decided to stay together (but not all could live together straight away).

then, after another 5 months, 1 couple were still together and another (who all along seemed to be the only genuinely happy/compatible ones) decided to ‘take a break’ after they’d both moved to a new city together and been stressed out.

the ones who were still together weren’t sure what they were going to do after the one month review because she didn’t want to have to move out of london because it would mean she would then ‘never move back’. anyway, he moved to london and his job (in bournemouth?) was up in the air. they both could have moved somewhere closer to reading (where he could have transferred to) but she didn’t want to leave london. dunno what he was doing. on leave?

the couple who broke up after a month didn’t ever see each other as romantic partners, plus he was a smoker and she hated that . then at the end of the program he was living aone and still wore his ring (she didn’t, they were separated and planned to divorce) it was a bit weird because she obviously never had feelings for him but he was clearly really affected by the whole thing/latched on to the idea it could work eventually

It was a shame that it didn’t work out for Clark and his wife (I can’t remember her name). They seemed completely made for each other.

yeah they seemed really compatible, but the pressure was bound to get on top of them with moving to a completely new town (at least they had each other, i guess?), be talking about kids and constantly talking about how much you’re in love all the time after a few weeks.

*British

The programme is an interesting concept - for me chemistry is the absolute main criteria, you can get over a lot of differences if you have chemistry to go on, at least in the beginning. I’d be interested to see if couples without chemistry could grow to love each other regardless.

i want to know how much of it (if any) was algorithms and how much of it was groundwork and the result of interviews and research done by producers

they just used scooby doo as the trail for a secment on newsnight - visual analogy/example as to how the times have changed for kids today (velma used to get info from libraries, now she does from laptops)

can’t believe sean removed the edit feature

have decided i’m not going to bother correcting my mistakes because it takes up too much time and effort and nobody SHOULD care

Who doesn’t?

That’s a lovely whisky. Bit spendy for me though - I often have a bottle of the 10 year old in.

It’s really lovely! 51.4 though ooft. I really love Japanese whisky, it might not be as interesting on the palette as your single malts but they’re really good.
