Even the commentators have basically said it was dull before the goal. Second half’s been good so far though

Oooof!!!

Two cracking crosses

Keep hearing people on here claiming the games between the top six have been shite, but City v Chelsea was one of the most entertaining big games since peak United/Arsenal, Chelsea wacking United was great, Spurs were relentless v City, Arsenal v Liverpool was a goalfest, Liverpool pumped Chelsea away, Arsenal battered Chelsea, the first half of the Manchester derby was the best i’ve seen a team in England play in over ten years, City v Arsenal was excellent, as is this.

Basically, the big games have all been absolutely superb, bar Liverpool v City, or anything involving Mourinho being ‘pragmatic’. We’ve never had so many good teams and therefore so many big games. Don’t get the negativity.

Can’t argue with that. Five sides who can be absolutely exceptional when at their best, and a Man Utd who might not have demonstrated playing to that kind of level but are starting to demonstrate a Fergie-style consistency and maturity to overpower teams and win most games

OOOOOOH ITS HARRY WINKS ON HIS PRRRREMIER LEAGUE DEBUT!

Tottenham’s wig looks pretty secure atm. Also Conte really doesn’t fancy Batshuayi does he

Can’t complain with that result tbf. Spurs did to Chelsea what they did to City, play them at their own game but work harder. The pressing, the organisation, the midfield battle and the wingbacks were all simply better than chelsea’s.

should’ve had some money on it

Lovely, lovely stuff.
Not quite payback for last season’s #battleofthebridge but v happy to end the streak #brocklesnar

This post insinuates that City have some sort of plan that involves pressing, trying to defend, or even putting in an iota of hard work…

I really enjoyed that. Not just the game itself but also because it’s good for the title race that Chelsea have finally lost a match again.

Even though Chelsea are front runners there’s a lot of the season left to go, and if Costa/Kante/Moses get injuries then it could all come apart. Then again if they stay injury free and maybe sign a striker this transfer window they’d be easy favourites.

So tough to see who will miss out on 4th place as well, now that Tottenham have moved up there. Surely Arsenal’s time is finally up.

Surely it’s Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs + one of the other three?

It’s Spurs, mate.

The Geez was a bit shit tonight, wasn’t he? Two open headed goals, multiple missed passes, terrible positioning and ball control.

Still a WORLD CLASS CHAMPIONS LEAUGE WINNING, WORLD CUP SEMI FINALIST though.

Spurs just had all the answers tonight. Has to be Spurs I think.

Well beaten there really. Tottenham were very good.

Didn’t think we played too badly, just two stupid bits of defending (allowing Eriksen to stop the ball, look about a bit, then pick a cross without getting within 5 yards - twice) at key parts of the game killed us. Feel like we need a bit of full-back cover this window and would like to see Chalobah come into midfield for Matic.

Can’t complain at 13 wins on the bounce though, just a shame our three losses this season were to the teams immediately behind us…

United & Liverpool to miss out pls

do you mean specifically spurs fans under 30?!?

I’m not one of them but this is obviously the best squad we’ve had since i can remember (1992ish)

my favourite was probably late era Jol with berbatov keane king dawson huddlestone and some scumbags

top 3 spurs sides of my lifetime:

  1. Poch’s Bottlers
  2. Jol’s Lasagne Boys
  3. 'Arry’s Wheela Deelas
