It’s a dodge opener cause half of it is the stiffest funk workout but contains one of the most heartbreaking choruses they ever wrote! Not that I thought this aged 10

The more simple and direct, the more effective the album is for me. Belong’s wordless chorus is so moving, I just get lost in it.

Awesome! Can we see when they’re done?

Sure, I’m not sold on the actual design but I’m still learning how to do it and I also can’t draw :see_no_evil:

I’ve done the first one…

 I love It! If this is someone who can’t draw I’m in major trouble!!

Very much looking forward to seeing more. DiS is so talented.

Well when I’ve done both I’ll do quite a few prints, they’ll all have some level of disaster to them…not pressed enough, dust and detritus on the print when I inked it etc, so I’ll be happy to send you a pair as long as you forgive imperfections

Find it really weird that when I was 15 watching this set and getting demolished by this version of Country Feedback that a bunch of you were probably doing the same thing. That performance became a bit of a touchstone amongst me and a select few mates, like a secret getting passed round or something, now we all talk about it. Idk I’m a few beers deep but it’s a nice feeling

Ha, no way man. I had REM on earlier for the first time in absolute yonks, automatic for the people followed by Out of Time :slightly_smiling_face::+1:

Yes please and I will love the imperfections

Problem with putting an REM record on that it turns into a fortnight long deep dive for me!

I’d wager you have some strong memories of those two getting spins when you were younger too?

I think Wire accents are a bit tainted by what you know. I mean I never had a problem with McNulty’s until I saw West in a bunch of UK things and then it seemed more obvious when he got a bit

But I already knew Idris Elba was British and still thought his accent was mint.

Really odd behaviour possibly mitigated if they thought the rubbish in question had a specific recycling bin to go in which naturally the toilet wouldn’t cater to. Not sure about the laugh though. Maybe they just never noticed the bin in the toilet before and had one of those weird brain farts.

Ha, actually this is a biggie for accents I think. If you ever watch the Doom film - and I am not advising it, despite it having Rosamund Pike, Karl Urban and The Rock in it - you’ll note that Rosamund Pike spends a lot of time in situations where she clearly should be shouting but just sort of quietly grinds out her lines and I’m convinced it’s because her American accent will go to pieces if she yells.

I’m sure she must yell a bit in Gone Girl, though, so maybe it was just weird direction or she got a much better coach for a big time film.

Still, doing an accent and yelling is meant to be tough so if they’ve got Elba having to be quite loud I can imagine his accent is dropping. (Also, I mean The Wire was a very serious business TV series where I’d guess there were a lot of people helping him to keep in line.)
