Morning. First day back on site, looking forward to seeing what’s around. Lots of little gulls around atm thanks to the storm. Full gamut of school and nursery drops and pick ups to do as well.

Last day of the Christmas holidays for me 
got to take the girls to get their hair cut, and then give them some time to spend Christmas money.
Onto more important business: I intend to resurrect the 
DAYLIGHT UPDATES from tomorrow. I’m going to include the following:

I nearly went IOW but I didn’t know which town you were. Southampton felt like a good midpoint between various Hampshire/Dorset DiSers. The Canberra of the daylight update nominations.

The toddler has successfully not wet the bed again and actually had a wee in the night on her potty! Think we’ve made progress and a hopeful turning point.
Still off work, back next week. Got to go for a chest x ray has my cough has lasted well over 3 weeks now and is somehow getting worse. Got my first counselling session of the year at 11 as well. Self care for shucks day is on.

Morning all!
No work at all in our house this week but I’ve got a small pile of life/ house admin to take care of including groceries, removing the Xmas tree and paying some money into bank accounts. We’re probably taking The Child to the cinema at some point but that’s not today.
Caught up with my emails. Still in bed.

Gearing up to putting house on market, so decided I’d better paint a wall orange…needs a third coat… possibly not one of my finest plans.

Did a surprisingly (as in I’m surprised I bothered) large amount of post-Christmas firefighting yesterday, whilst the whole of the rest of my team were in their foxholes. This morning, surprisingly I’m getting a deluge of happy chirpy people ostentatiously Teamsing that they’re on their way into the office at 7am or whatever for our usual Wednesday “in office” day.
So I’m going to go completely silent for the rest of the week and might even take the piss completely and just play Civilization from my sofa whilst eating Heroes instead.

In the office again today. Thankfully it wasn’t pitch black when I left for work, unlike the last time I came in before Christmas. My diary is looking a little light, so I might need to invent a meeting and disappear off somewhere for a bit

Last day of the holidays going to start right with a fried egg sammich and end well with the darts

Made it downstairs into my study and am sat at my desk.
Nothing has apparently collapsed or caused a diplomatic incident over the last week and a bit, and the briefing i thought i’d have to write to start the year off isn’t needed.
Got very strong “should have booked today off” vibes.
