Hello everyone.

Hope you’re all doing well. I am all over the place. :upside_down_face:

Feeling a bit sleepy, as a result of Mrs HYG being away and me not going to bed until at least an hour an hour after the usual time.

Haven’t been very productive at work the last few days, need to up the tempo. But I finally got back into blogging! So, swings and roundabouts.

Another night out with @xylo?

It’s a lovely morning out there to be sure.

One more day at work after today and then I am off to the Ionian Islands. Nine more days at work after today until the end of my contract and I can go back to blissful under-employment…

Bad knees and wankles, I reckon.

There is a person who always gets the same train as me in the morning and evening, but in the evening they don’t get off at the same station. The unsolvable mystery really bothers me.

How was single-speeding? Loads more effort required on hills? Is it one where you you can freewheel or do you have it locked like a total nutter?

Alas, no. More a kind of I’m in pain and a shit load of stresses and concerns at the moment while also trying to be positive and upbeat and remember the positive stuff.

Like busy? Or sickness :frowning: ?

The stuff nightmares are made of

My commute doesn’t have any hills on the way in. There’s a slight uphill on the return journey (Peckham Rye), so we’ll see about that later. It is more effort, mainly because I like to spin the pedals quite fast. But that means I go faster!

It can freewheel can also run it fixed (a flip-flop hub) but I’ll wait until I get a bit stronger before attempting that.

Also, it was fun! Quite weird for me after a long period of only riding a road bike as the position on this is more upright, I am using flat pedals as opposed to clipping in and not having to think about changing gear. I’m hoping in the long run it will make me fitter

Yeah. @Epimer I’m going to blame you for this. What the hell? This is like something that belongs in that room of Ripley clone failures in Alien: Resurrection.

Hip pain and I seem to have caused a pain to my back from compensating, which has spread to my neck which is causing headaches and keeping me awake.

Stresses with getting stuff done at work, and paying bills, then some personal stuff along with just finding out one of the team here who I get on with really well with is handing in their notice (and they’re not in my team so there’s nothing I can do about it)

s’all about the cadence, baby!
