My commute doesn’t have any hills on the way in. There’s a slight uphill on the return journey (Peckham Rye), so we’ll see about that later. It is more effort, mainly because I like to spin the pedals quite fast. But that means I go faster!
It can freewheel can also run it fixed (a flip-flop hub) but I’ll wait until I get a bit stronger before attempting that.
Also, it was fun! Quite weird for me after a long period of only riding a road bike as the position on this is more upright, I am using flat pedals as opposed to clipping in and not having to think about changing gear. I’m hoping in the long run it will make me fitter
