They’ve gone down really well with the kids!! And they’ve been so much more thoughtful than what I’ve ever got. I’m terrible at buying for kids. I either get them books by illustrators I’m a fan of, that are probably not that suitable for the child or that squishy giraffe for teething which is good but not very original.

There’s a load of snacks/treats in the office kitchen. I had a rubbish croissant at 9.20. I’m now just watching the clock until I feel I can go back for a jam doughnut.

Immoooking forward to when my newborns get to an age where I can buy me stuff I like, such as my favourite records on vinyl, cracking bottles of red wine :grinning:

@japes and @Lo-Pan you are monsters, the children make enough noise. If you must be noisy at least make it something not electric. Or if it has to have batteries, then this sound book is good (the hippo sounds like it is laughing at you):

I bought three of the books from this set last year, originally as a Christmas present for Jimbo, but that changed to being for my other half (who’s a graphic designer so appreciates things like this) when I saw how wordy they were inside:
