Oooh, gets weirder. In the groups, each team plays at home twice, once away. The U21 (of which only 6 of the starting 11 need to be under 21) play all three away.

It’s indicative of how shit the market is that people are soiling themselves at how cheap an £18m 30 year old Matuidi, who couldn’t get in PSG’s side, is. Get the feeling it’s an nth choice signing for them too. Obviously these type of signings have had a tendency to work out for them though so who knows.

People who watch Serie A…has Carlos Bacca dropped off in a big way? Just seen he’s gone on loan to Villarreal…surely he’s a perfect signing for pretty much any club needing a No.9…and there aren’t many about.

Then again, maybe I’m underestimating Villarreal and their famously relaxed conditions for playing football in.
