so fucking annoying. also, not to excuse another terrible home performance, but this really pisses me off; when one team’s having players booked for time wasting 10 minutes after half time, there is definitely not four fucking minutes of stoppage time at the end. its like the ref just pulls a random number out his arse.

Aside from the well-trodden issue of genuinely playing football for 90 minutes being exhausting, there are times when the ball is out of play where ‘football’ is happening which makes it less clear cut. E.g. jostling for position at a corner (or general movement). That said, I do share your frustration with the feeling the time has been pulled out the ref’s arse.
