On the contrary, i think people have overegged City based on the opposition they’ve faced - Bournemouth, and struggling clubs in various states of crisis - Stoke, Swansea, Sunderland, West Ham. The Derby, as impressive as City were for a half, could have ended any score. Liverpool meanwhile have been away to Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal.

Spurs for me are a much better all-round side than Arsenal. Liverpool at their best are the most devastating team in the country, but they’ll wing it defensively, like we did in 13/14. You could take any player out of Tottenham’s team and they’d be about as good. Not convinced you could do that with Koscielny or Sanchez (the stats may disagree), or, say, de Bruyne or Aguero.

You can do it with spurs cos none of their players are that good. They’ll tire in February or March, like Poch sides always do.

Edit: Except for Alde obvs. And Son’s started very well tbf.

Palace have got as many points in September (10) than as have in the rest of 2016 combined. With City losing I guess there is a chance of Pards getting manager of of the month. Hope not.

I didn’t see the United game but I don’t get how they couldn’t beat Stoke. Stokes defence was an absolute shambles against us.

Keeper had an excellent game, apparently.

We tired with like 3 games to go, not exactly Feb/March tbf

Fair enough Shay Given was in goal against us. But basic marking was terrible against us. Shawcross especially we put it down to him not being allowed to hold any more.

This game has been… slow.

We’ve not been able to properly weight a single pass in the final third. Dunno what the pitch is like. Ozil looks ill or something as well.

Burnley are pretty good tbf. Zero goal threat, but it’s pretty hard to get anything out of them. They won’t make any mistakes, which means we basically need to get a lucky bounce to score today I think.

well run club and everything but man burnley are boring.
reckon this is the only noteworthy thing they’ve done in their various pl stints

Good set of results this weekend (Hull excepted of course)

Handball and probably offside from Koscielny too. Perfect.

Difficult to see past a period of London dominance lasting decades tbf.

Wouldn’t begrudge Arsenal three points, but disappointing that those decisions almost exclusively seem to go against the sides nearer the bottom of the table.

Dodgy. As. Fuck.

Burnley defended extremely well, gotta think they’ll get a lot of points off the bigger sides this season. They do it without Pulising everyone’s shins as well, so y’know credit to them etc. Still anti-football tho innit.

We really really did not deserve to win.

Brentford weren’t that impressive yesterday.

Aspas dismantling Barca single-handedly!

Ridiculous comedy goal courtesy of the Barca keeper there. Dear me.
