Not defending him, but I think in America it just means “general insult” like idiot or fool.

People who don’t like Weird Al Yankovic are total wrong’uns. That ATP set was incredible and his stuff is great. E.g. I can get all the fun of the Offspring’s Pretty Fly for a White Guy music without the shitty lyrics. Weenie in a Bottle is great too.

How do you people feel about King Missile?

Ah, fair enough. I guess there’s quite a few examples where the meaning of a word is benign in one country but offensive in another. I only found out fairly recently that thug has racial connotations in the US but I wouldnt give a second thought about using it.

A dog a panic in a pagoda!

Reminds me of one UK forum I was on 15 years back saying how the word ‘twat’ caused their moderating teams the most trouble because a sizeable section of the forum’s users thought it was worse than cunt, which I think was already on the censored list, but obviously the other members of the forum thought it was a very light swear.

It’s really crazy to think how long he’s been active.

I was there too, and, yeah, it was kinda awesome… segwaying about the stage dressed as Obi Wan. You don’t get that at a Pavement gig.

I have a lot of the lyrics to this taking up space in my brain
