The best part is, it’ll already be soaked in piss by the time we get there!

The shape wasn’t as odd as I thought, but the surface if you carved a face on it would look like it had some nasty skin condition I thought.

That’s brilliant! I would be delighted with that! Did you say your Mum grew that?? Was she chuffed??

Woah! (That’s English for ‘stop a horse’)

Yeah, she was really pleased because it was her first successful pumpkin - usually the slugs had got to the plant before anything could grow. I was definitely impressed, can’t wait to see the bigger one when she brings it home. Must research pumpkin recipes.

I’ve never grown anything successfully from seed before! I think I’d explode with a supreme sense of achievement  I can see me as an old lady lying amongst my pumpkins in my allotment space. Maybe, fingers crossed.

Let me know what you make!!

Sometimes wind my Dad up by saying stuff from his allotment doesn’t taste as good the ones from Sainsbury’s.

Plants tend to die when I do anything with them. I did once grow a couple of pathetic carrots when I was a kid, was pretty pleased with them at the time. You seem to be much more green fingered than me though with your collection of houseplants, I am sure you would take to allotment life well.

Hmm, I’m not at all really. I’m hoping it’s not just me following another fad because I’m aware house plants are very in right now  haha. I do genuinely want to learn more about growing my plants and keeping the ones I already own alive for as long as possible! So I’m hoping I stick with it. One of my plants was looking a little sad today

Carrots are cool tho!! Do you live near your Mum? Maybe you could go help her out with her allotment!!

I live with her! (long story short, needed somewhere for me and my son to live after my marriage broke down). I am not a massive fan of dirt tbqh, but will probably go to help her more next summer as my boy will be two then and plenty old enough to help* too.

*stomp around in his wellies and maybe pick a few strawberries which will go straight in his mouth

Ah cool, well I’m sure she’ll be delighted when you decide you’d like to join her, I’m sure your son will love it! One of my favourite activities when I was little was making mud cakes

If you don’t mind me asking, whereabouts do you live? For a second there I had a feeling you might be in Scotland! I’m wrong aren’t I? I can’t keep up.

Hope everyone on DrownedInSound.com has a brilliant day!
