What 2022 gigs you got (plus likelihood of occurring)?

What do you currently have booked/rescheduled and how likely do you think they are of actually happening?

Thread inspired by the sad news that Faith No More have cancelled due to Mike Patton’s mental health (GWS Mike) that selfishly for me gets rid of the clash of FNM and Bikini Kill having rescheduled for the same date.

Currently booked:

  • Let’s Eat Grandma @ XOYO - 27 Jan
  • The Dandy Warhols @ The Roundhouse - 13 Feb
  • Henry Rollins @ The Palladium - 20 Feb
  • The Hold Steady @ Electric Ballroom - 4 Mar
  • A Place To Bury Strangers @ Lafayette - 2 Apr
  • Warmduscher @ The Forum - 7 Apr
  • Bikini Kill @ The Roundhouse - 13 June
  • Field Day @ Victoria Park - 20 Aug
  • Vacant Lots @ Audio - 15 Sept
  • Anthrax @ Brixton Academy - 8 Oct

Still waiting on L7 to reschedule. Will also almost certainly go to Latitude assuming that it’s on.

TBH - I’m not holding my breath on any of the international acts making it over in the first half of 2022 :worried:

Got one gig left for 2021 (Pigsx7 next week) which I guess according to the new rules should be fully masked up? Or are we assuming an exemption for hospitality/drinking/singing?

HBY?

The only one I’ve got lined up is Low on the 29th April. Don’t think it’s that likely to go ahead :frowning:

yourcodenameis:milo at the Cluny in Newcastle on January 7th - if this gets rescheduled again after I’ve booked trains and hotels again I’m gonna go up there anyway and find Paul Mullen and give him a wedgie

Protomartyr
Pavement
Parquet Courts
Bjork day @ Bluedot

+ Wide Awake, Glastonbury. If Glastonbury doesn’t go ahead again I might genuinely cry

This is what I have booked with a rating on it’s likeliness to be cancelled…

Dec 14th - Pigsx7 (4/10)
Jan 7th - Rockaway Beach Festival (6/10)
Feb 4th - Every Time I Die, Southampton (8/10)
Feb 24th - Hundred Reasons / Hell Is For Heroes, Southampton (2/10)
March 6th - Alkaline Trio / Taking Back Sunday, London (8/10)
March 26th - Therapy? Portsmouth (3/10)

April 1st - mclusky, Bristol (3/10)
April 15th - A Wilhelm Scream, Southampton (5/10)
April 21st - Jeff Rosenstock, Southampton (5/10)
May 14th - Rocket From The Crypt, London (5/10)
June 22nd - Aerosmith, London (10/10 they definitely hate touring)
July 2nd - Guns N Roses, London (4/10 reckon they want the cash and it’s outdoors)
July 8th - Pearl Jam, London (4/10)
August 17th - ArcTanGent Festival (2/10 but the lineup will change)
December 11th - The Cure, London (1/10 pandemic over through cure or mass extinction)

Torres, The Weather Station, Fucked Up, Big Brave, Low, Confidence Man and Primavera are what I have tickets for so far, remaining positive that they’re all going ahead (except Confidence Man which they’ll probably move to 2029 or something for the hell of it).

Metronomy in early March here in Lisbon. Not holding my breath.

Everything Everything & Goldfrapp in the UK in April. Hopeful of both going ahead.

Eurovision. Very hopeful.

NOS Alive in June, pretty confident.

Good ranking system this.

Has also just reminded me that I also have Ozzy Osbourne rescheduled from February 2019 (!) on my list. Likelihood of that going ahead ever? Slim…,.

We got a refund on our tickets, never seen Judas Priest and would love to see Ozzy one more time but am just not convinced…he’s going to live that long.

Woah that’d be a hell of a performance

Realised what I’d done as soon as I posted!

I reckon the issue would be more passing a medical to get insurance to embark on a world tour :grimacing:

So far…

Suzanne Vega - Barbican - Feb
Big Thief - Shepherd’s Bush Empire - March
Fucked Up - Scala - March
Spiritualized Roundhouse - May

The Suzanne Vega one was meant to be 2020, then 2021, now 2022. Might get tickets to Kristin Hersh at the Garage in April.

Went to see a Swell Maps thing at Cafe Oto last week and itching to see some more live music now.

It’s Friday, go outdoors now
