Places like This by Architecture in Helsinki has disappeared fairly recently. Not sure why as the rest of their discography is still there.
New Gods by Withered Hand disappeared as well fairly recently. Was mildly concerned this was the start of Fortuna Pop’s discography disappearing (as the label shut down a few years ago) but I’ve not spotted anything else going, so can only assume it is something else.
Yeah, so many classics. Also some maybe lesser known things that I still listen to a lot - Diamond D’s album, Kurious’ album, Masta Ace’s ‘Slaughtahouse’.
Probably to be expected, but also lots of indie things from later on - Godfather Don, Scaramanga’s ‘Seven Eyes, Seven Horns’, all the Fondle Em records, endless 12s etc. Quite annoying. Only reason I hang on to CDs and a harddrive full of MP3s
I know they vaguely mentioned that the U.K. distribution fell through at the last minute, but I find it bizarre that it’s still never found it’s way on there.
It’d be quite nice to be able to stream Gruff Rhys’ old Ffa Coffi Pawb stuff. Thought for sure that the ‘…Am Byth’ compilation from 2005 would be on there as a minimum but, nope - nada.
I don’t know where you’re located and suspect it’s a regional thing, but it’s available on my Spotify (US). Over time, that’s become my favorite of theirs.
Yeah UK here man so must be some kind of regional license thing.
Weird because it definitely got a UK release back in the day. It’s the album that introduced them to me and a lot of my friends as well. The gateway album so has always been a favourite.
I got in at the start with the I Never Said That I Was Brave EP in 2001 and [A–>B] Life. So even though I really liked Catch for Us the Foxes and Brother, Sister on release, I clung to that raw early sound as my favorite for a while. It’s wild that Brother, Sister ended up my favorite after a while and then they released, in my opinion, their worst album with It’s All Crazy! It’s All False! It’s All a Dream! It’s Alright. It’s practically unlistenable to me.
