What are the Best Music Apps?

#1

Festlove is the newest and best way for artists, musicians and DJ’s to get even closer to their fans. It’s a music app that gives users push notifications and recommendation on music events of their taste and chosen location.

Start by setting your radius and genres and get recommendations on events based on your music preferences. Events range from DJ sets, Guest Appearances, Concerts and even Festivals.
All the worlds music events are right at your fingertips - It gets better! Each artist or DJ has a profile which you can follow and stay notified on the events that interest you, so if any artist or DJ you follow creates an event in your chosen radius - you will get a push notification straight to your device!

Festlove Lets you:

  • Track your favourite artists and Dj’s and get push notifications on relevant events in your radius. Events can range from pubs, clubs, concerts and festivals, if the event is to your music taste it will be right there on your “nearby” feed.

  • Create events straight from your device to all your fans in that area, so rather than relying on twitter, word of mouth or other websites, you can send a push notification to every fan of yours in that area. Selling more tickets, bringing artists and fans even closer together, even more important for upcoming artists looking to boost their profile

  • Socialize - The “Like me” function automatically suggest profiles for users to interact with based on your common preferences. Chat, create statuses, share pictures and meet with like-minded people who share your interests and maybe even going to the same concert as one another!

Festlove is free and available now at the ITunes Store

What has this got that Songkick doesn’t already have? Why is it not on Android?

Hi Ma0sm,

Thanks for your reply. To answer your question the difference between Festlove and Songkick is that with Festlove artists can create events straight from their device to their followers’ in that area device via push notification, meaning followers of that artists find out first.

Another difference is that the events are a lot broader from nightclubs, festivals and Dj sets (which songkick seems to lack in my opinion) and much more and event notifications are tailored to you and your music taste.

The last and perhaps biggest difference is the social element of Festlove, fans can follow all their favourites profiles and like, comment and share pictures and statuses with other users as well as their favourite artists and Dj’s.

In terms of android it’s a brand new app that was released just two weeks ago I wanted to gain some recognition on the IOS store and then develop for Andriod once popularity increases.

I hope this helped, any more quastions and I’d be happy to answer them.

Thanks

With Songkick I subscribe to a bunch of artists and my local area and get notifications whenever they add an event instantly. Anyone can add an event so I can’t see the difference here.

I’m guessing with the nightclub thing it’s searches like “Top 40” or “60s Pop” or things like that? So venues / promoters stuff in their genre of the evening? That’s a bit of a gap, but a small one. Good club nights have line-ups which can be put on Songkick too. How does your handling of festivals differ to Songkicks? I’ve never had a particular problem. DJ sets is a gap of theirs, I’ll agree.

Fair enough, good luck to you!
