socks: yelow amazon own brand socks. i bought these online (obvs) while visiting my mum last week. i needed new socks anyway and couldn’t be arsed packing a load of weatherbeaten holey socks so ordered some just before setting off and they were there for me the following afternoon. a few people probably had to suffer a little bit to deliver me this minor luxury.

It would be nice if it was a case of mistaken colour because that would mean we’re both wearing blue items today that we each thought were black. I think that would bond us.

I didn’t know if they were blue or black until I had a long hard look at them for the purpose of this thread, but I couldn’t say that I actively thought they were black beforehand, not with a clear conscience anyway.
Fair enough Smee, I appreciate you not trying to sugar coat it for me. I am, today, alone on our community in wearing a blue item of clothing that I only purchased because I thought it was black.
