What are your kitchen cupboard essentials?

Obviously everyone has salt & pepper and milk and that, but which slightly less usual items do you make sure you always have in stock? Lurpak garlic butter for us, use it for cooking a lot, always got a jar of lazy garlic on the go also. Normally have a pipe of Pringles on the side for picking at whilst cooking. Oh also poppy seed crackers cause my wife goes through them like nobody’s business.

Geeta’s mango chutney
Sriracha
Tabasco

Oh yeah this too. And French’s american mustard.

Garlic
Chili (in the freezer)
Sardines (tinned, in olive oil)
Tin of tomatoes or passata

Easy quick dinner right there

Edit: oh and some hard cheese to grate on it

Reckon I’d take shelves over doors

Marmite
Henderson’s Relish
Kucharek seasoning (Polish veg stock)
Maggi Hot & Sweet sauce
Sainsbury’s Hot & Smoky Chipotle seasoning

Passata
Garlic
Oregano
Three types of salt in fact: table salt, sea salt flakes (lah-di-dah) and rock salt for the salt grinder.
Three types of flour: plain, self-raising and strong, all white.
Biscuits, something more distinct than just digestives or malted milks but we like to have one of those around too.
Used to always want a pack of salted tortilla chips on the go but since we’ve been back I’ve not found a good option in the supermarkets near by which is upsetting. Seem to recall Poco Loco were great but haven’t seen them yet.
Salted and unsalted butter too.

Tub of chicken bouillon
Oregano
Cumin
Light and dark soy sauce
Sesame oil
Lemon juice
MSG
Dijon Mustard
Hot sauce

Who needs actual food when you can have delicious salt and umami on anything you find

I am known for always having nuts in too, but I don’t actually eat them all that much compared to say pretzels so sometimes forget about my enviable nut stock.

Home made chicken stock in the freezer

Would it still be a cupboard without a door though?

if you’re going to have shelves and doors you need to also think about screws
