I single-handedly dispel the notion that you should never wear brown in town.
Probably black and navy/ dark blue in equal measure.

Said grey as I have a few grey skirts, normally have a multi coloured top or dress on though tbh.

Nowt wrong with a decent brown brogue these days, has to be said.
If I didn’t regularly wear jeans the answer would be red (maroon).
