What day do you *generally* do your weekly laundry wash?

We’re talking at least three loads per week: in fact prob 4 - 2 white, 2 colour.

Whenever I run out of pants

Surprised more people believe the whites seperate to colours loads myth, bar brand new stuff. I just bung it all in. Never had a runner.

So much this. Don’t really have “whites” mind

Have an assigned wash day every ninth day (excluding Sundays and Public Holidays.) to

Friday - darks
Sunday - lights
Wednesday - towels
Every other Saturday - bed linen

One light load of shirts + bedding or towels on a Saturday (dries in time for me to iron my shirts on a Sunday morning)
One dark load of everything else on a Sunday (after I’ve played hockey/football)

Dry by Monday evening

Was your flatmate Nick Kamen?

Sunday 40° work/ casual clothes wash, midweek biweekly 60° for gym/ football stuff, same for bedsheets. Probably monthly for towels.

Thanks for asking.

an obvious marketing ploy from the evil detergent companies

Yeah this. All my white T-shirts are grey tho. Prob coincidence

Saturday. Leave everything out on the chairs and radiators overnight and Sunday in preparation for Monday.

Anyone who doesn’t do this is a liar

Bedding twice a month usually on Sunday night

Evidently I’m a liar

A bloody liar!

Evidently

Who would waste the best day of the week washing clothes? Don’t think I’ve ever done washing on a Saturday.

Liar

The day isn’t wasted. Usually shove a wash in at 9 in the evening - go the pub or drink some tins, then drunkenly hang up the washing
