I’m going to attend a lot of these events with my GF and we’re also going to hang out and do nothing together for the rest of the weekend.

my friend made this short film (12 mins) - not for international women’s day but I thought today was as good a day as any to share it

It’s about pregnancy, babies and women’s bodies and is really fascinating. Also fascinating is that because it’s about women’s bodies that means that in the society we live in it is deemed NOT SAFE FOR WORK because it contains boobs.

I’m looking after the boys whilst my daughter goes to watch my partner sing in a choir concert celebrating IWD along with her daughter.

Donated my weekly football gambling budget to the Richard Herring Refuge donations page instead of wasting it on ridiculous bets.

My work isn’t doing anything for today. Got big plans for St Patrick’s Day though, despite 0% of the staff and patients being Irish and over 50% are women.

Gonna moan about it to the manager. Get it sorted out for next year.

Seen either before? Think WB is in my top 10 films ever, the atmosphere and tone is masterful (and J-Law should have won an Oscar for it)

yeah I really love WB, never seen T&L

I have accidentally ended up at some kind of IWD strike at the University of Bologna. They were doing a mini march with a van blasting tunes and purple smoke as I got to the road. (Pic makes it look like more people were marching. There are loads of people in Piazza Verdi though)

It’s big and dumb in parts but two amazing characters and a great central relationship.

It’s something like a companion piece to Butch Cassidy I’d say - obviously different story and motivations, but that’s what the dynamic of Thelma and Louise always reminded me of.

erm…

Had an excellent IWD at school. Watched the Crazy Nike ad and had a conversation about it and how women and men are perceived with my class . Then we watched about the suffragettes on horrible histories. Then we celebrated Amelia Earhart in our assembly.

I also helped other teachers in the school do the same.

Going to carry it on into next week, particularly as one boy did ask when it was boy’s day.

Apparently “there’s a day for everything nowadays.”

Sorry boss, thought you might be behind being paid the same as men.

Wouldn’t that clash with My Vitriol Day?
