Quite a nice Movie Month of March

My MMotM was probably whenever Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie kissed in Mr & Mrs Smith tbh. We have lost the art of making insanely hot people kissing in mediocre films unfortunately.

MMOTM probably has to be the flying drop kick by Hackman early on in Night Moves. An unexpected drop kick is truly one of cinema’s great pleasures

best: memories of murder
worst: runaway jury
movie moment of the month: either the opening tracking shot in ‘the player’ or big nick shouting “FUCK NATO!” in den of thieves. two of the all time great moments in cinematic history, impossible to say which one was more impactful

MMOTM, when it pans past a duck having a bath in Howard The Duck and it has breasts

Big month for me.

MMOTM would be the end scene of The Straight Story, even if I have seen it before.

Shoutouts to the funeral scene in Ordet (wow!) and the end of Red Rocket.

Having a few weeks off work with nothing to do but lay in bed has reignited my love for film. It’s great isn’t it.

Been watching way more movies recently, enjoying a weekend-day double or triple bill.

Couple of cinema trips this month (I’m Still Here at the lovely Cameo in Edinburgh and Last Breath in an Odeon in Dundee where the voice audio was panned to the left for some unknown reason & they couldn’t fix it :triumph:)

MMOTM was probably being close to tears (in a good way) for the majority of The Wild Robot, what an absolutely wonderful film, can’t recommend it highly enough. Stunning animation, and just really moving.

Thought it was funny that both myself and @The_Respected_User watched Election within a day of each other unknowingly — that and The Descendents (and my festive rewatches of The Holdovers) have made me want to go through more of Alexander Payne’s films, he’s so good.

Pretty fantastic month of movies to be honest!

MMOTM - Pharrell breaking down in tears watching people dance to Happy in Piece by Piece. A strange man.

I hardly watched anything

Found a cool add on for stremio though if anyone uses it

I think it’s currently down for a few days but when it’s working it syncs with any letterboxd list (eg. Your watchlist) and puts it on a carousel. :carousel_horse:

What’s yer problem with Nickel Boys, Mert? I thought it was basically perfect.

Didn’t log Adolescence on account of it NOT BEING A FILM.

No beef with the plot, just hated the device. Not my thing.
