What Films Are You Watching? August edition 🎞️πŸŽ₯🎞️

I actually think that whole section is a bit rubz, but the preceding 2/3rds are so so good as to warrant an overall high mark

Pretty great month. Some great free screenings, Barbenheimer both delivering a memorable cinema day, top MI rewatch, an above average Marvel, lovely animations and my first 2 Tati films all giving me loads of 4’s and 4.5’s.

Off to a Pride screening of But I’m A Cheerleader tonight.

Azkaban getting the same score as most of the other HP’s :open_mouth:

Watched 41 in July

Best: The Deepest Breath

Worst: (In that it pissed me off the most, The Whale)

Some great news for Are You There God It’s Me Margaret, as its no longer the worst film I’ve seen released this year after watching Joy Ride

You are so damn monstrous sometimes. It’s amazing how you remain adorable.

Oh you! Wait till you see the music scene in Joy Ride though

You’re being monstrous about AYTGIMM, not the other one

All I’m saying is it was no surprise to me that God was always ignoring her!!

I’m surprised the GFT isn’t showing the new Ben Wheatley film.

Instead of posting letterboxd diaries how about we all share our Movie Moment of the Month???

My Movie Memory of the Month is when I watched Cabaret and No Hard Feelings in the same evening

And your Movie Moment?

Nice idea.

My Movie Moment of the Month was slinging popcorn in my gob whilst watching Tom Cruise handcuffed to Hayley Attwell in a tiny car. It made me smile and grin about how much fun I was having, it made me excited about how they would get out of it, it made me swoon at Hayley Attwell and it made me go β€œBoy, I guess this is a real contender for my Movie Moment of the Month!”

My Movie Memory of the Month was having the opportunity to go to my first studio hosted private screening for the first time since that whole pandemic business put a stop to doing so for a few years.
