best: double indemnity
worst: heist
movie moment of the month: brad pitt going “woah, that guy’s good” as he gets overtaken by max verstappen in f1. made my dad guffaw, and he spent the rest of xmas making himself laugh by repeating the line whenever anyone did anything

Happy new year, film fans x

My MMotM for Dec 25 was the bit where Michelle Pfeiffer was dancing embarrassingly on the telly in Oh What Fun. Absolutely classic! Right, @TKC ?

We have a thread about that!

Shit son I missed the memo. Dearest friend could you direct me?

Big month, helped by being ill for a couple of weeks. Ticked off a few classics. I knew the Wicker Man was going to be good but I didn’t expect it to be that incredible.

Don’t think I was in the right mood to watch the Descent and that really affected how much I enjoyed it.

MMOTM: The first reveal of Skarsgard in leathers in Pillion

Guess what film I saw 2026 in with

Cemetery Junction

I bloody wish

It was Cellular

12 Angry Men last night (could have been a DiS Challenge film but wasn’t in this instance). Obviously great in many ways, incredible performances all round, looked incredible (very sweaty), great script etc. I didn’t love it overall somehow though; I think the general arc of the whole didn’t quite live up to the parts, and I don’t think I was ever surprised by it. Still a very good film, glad I saw it.
