Watched Will & Harper yesterday. Not sure if it’s been discussed much elsewhere. Thought it was very nice though my main emotional response was “I’d like to drive across America and drink shitty beer in nice places” which is probably not what they were going for.

Quite a few MMotM candidates after an excellent September but I have to say it is the culmination of The Fan which features the following line of dialogue: This guy is gonna kill Bobby’s kid if you don’t find him in nine innings

(Was v disappointed for Blue Velvet not to have clicked as an adult after only watching it once before as an annoying teen)
MMOTM - when Eric Draven and FKA Twigs go for a little splash around in a lake with a bunch of friends never seen before or after for absolutely 0 reason

don’t normally log rewatches but napoleon was the director’s cut which is half a star better than the OG version. people scoff now but that film will be reclaimed as a minor classic in coming years imo, or it would if it was available on anything other than apple tv

Best: Uncle Yanco cause it’s nice hanging out with Agnes Varda
Worst: Pet Semetary: Bloodlines. Don’t know what’s going on. Only one angry pet. Rubbish.

Feels a bit harsh lumping in Civil War with unmitigated disasters like Uglies and The Crow, but I also bounced off it pretty hard!
I saw Milk & Serial twice, so that’s an easy decision for the best of the month (though the final stretch of The Substance was so good). Special mention to the Walk Hard soundtrack - those original songs are so well done! Much better than I expected from a fake biopic.

did you get the theatrical or extended version of Walk Hard? we put the latter on by mistake, it was great but the sheer amount of nudity did confuse!
Best: Wood Job! - it’s a lovely hug of a film
Worst: Mikadroid etc. Not terrible, just a very average Terminator knockoff
MMOTM: the bit with the truck in The Hitcher, Been thirty plus years since I saw it last, and I had completely forgotten that sequence. Ooof.
