Some absolutely fantastic pictures for me in the month of August 2026.
My MMotM was the coda of Portrait of a Lady on Fire - A film which I feel very vindicated in holding off watching until I could see it on a cinema screen. Incredible picture.

Find it quite amusing, on paper (screenshot) that you watched a 2 star film about some dead chef and then a few weeks later ‘went back for seconds’

This is smart posting actually
I enjoyed Tony but the entire film’s based on about 10 pages of his book and quite quickly descends into just complete fiction. The thieving, the restaurant fire, the charity clam bake, all just complete nonsense and well, if they were going to do that they could’ve done … anything else?
Made me well up a bit that they got Eric Ripert in to do the CIA interview at the end though.

Ratatouille - the rat is a chef. It’s a great picture.
Boiling Point - Stephen Graham is a chef and does cocaine. It’s a good picture
Chef - Jon Favreau is presumably a chef. Looks like a picture I’d hate with every fibre of my being
Tony - the guy from the holdovers is a chef in a biopic about a guy I don’t really know about. Looks like I’d find it a quite boring and forgettable picture
There are no other films about chefs

Never heard of it, it doesn’t exist, it isn’t about a chef, and it looks like a LOUSY picture
