A peanut oat bar
A suckie yoghurt
Ella’s kitchen (yes for children) pouch of apple pear and papaya

for tomorrow it’s some chopped up veg: carrrot, red pepper, cucumber

half an avocado, half a lime

and then the most important bit: a wrap of foil with salt and pepper

so tomorrow I buy fresh rolls on the way in, then mash the avo with lime juice and the seasoning and spread on the rolls. eat the rolls after the veg.

bosh.

Every day is the same because I’m just so hungry I’ll eat anything, also I CBA to prepare or think of anything so it’s:

Pesto pasta, a banana and an apple

Sometimes have a cheese and cucumber sandwich if I have bread

Four Wispas and a Terry’s Chocolate Orange.

  • Can of Coke Zero

Those ellas kitchen baby pouches are dead good for festivals and the like. Hangover cure then a cute little hipflask to fill up and tuck in your bra or whatever

If I had to have lunch in the office I’d make sure I had some leftovers to take. If I’m working at home it’s either leftovers or make something quick

Sandwich of some sort
Salt and Vinegar crisps
Cherry tomatoes
Sliced carrot
Chocolate

Just realised typing this that apart from the cherry tomatoes, this is practically unchanged from what I used to go to school with for a packed lunch.

Depends on what time I’m working, how long I’m working for and when (and where) my breaks are. Too many variables.

Generally always take some sort of chocolate biscuit bar to go with a mug of tea and a little pot of grapes with me.

If I’m working through the middle of the day, it will invariably be a sandwich/sandwich-adjacent and a bag of crisps. For example tomorrow (working 11-6.30) it’ll be a ham and cheese wrap, a bag of salt and vinegar Squares and a caramel Rocky.

Instant porridge for breakfast if I’m on earlies. On lates it could be leftovers/ready meal/soup/sandwiches or a takeaway as a treat.

Rice cooked in a chili sauce, chickpeas (prepared per this video https://youtu.be/5EU76q3Vf3Q?si=ZLnLt_KL_ZFNiUr4), two chopped scallions and a boiled egg.

Some siracha

I buy oranges and leave them in the office

My lunch

It varies, but generally follows a pattern:

  • my breakfast (generally a bagel or cereal bar)
  • something savoury for the ‘main’ bit of lunch (usually hot leftovers; it’s kusksu & egg for the rest of this week)
  • some savoury nibbles (e.g. olives, pickled beetroot, silverskins, carrot sticks)
  • a bag of crisps (S&V Squares at the moment)
  • a Pink Lady apple
  • strawberry or raspberry yoghurt
  • sweet playpiece to eat with afternoon coffee

And it always gets eaten in that order

plus there is either a tin of Irn Bru Xtra/Pepsi Max or a bottle of fizzy water for drinking at lunch. If I’m on the fizzy water, I’ll add a Berocca or an electrolyte tablet for flavour
