For a brief moment I thought you were decanting an Ella’s pouch and sneaking the contents into festivals in your bra…
Got a Co-op samosa in the fridge for tomorrow, as a treat

Cash to buy some nonsense rather than prep. Going into the office only 2 days a week has meant my office lunches have got more ridiculous.

Banana (not in lunchbox)
Should probably buy a bigger lunchbox or bring more things, as I’m forever snacking during the day
If I’m going to the office, I’m having lunch in the canteen.
I used to work as a mortgage underwriter in this weird building like it was a factory once. It wasnt close enough to anywhere for lunch so they had a canteen and the food was sooooo good and so cheap.
And they had rooms to sleep in and a river and fields outside. We used to do egg and spoon races in summer like we were an Enid Blyton story and because my and my friend were the youngest everyone was so sweet to us and there was always overtime available for really good money.
Wow, I’m just realising what a great time i had.
But mostly because of their baked potatoes
this sounds idyllic as jobs go
The remaining packet of crisps was stuck to the multipack and separating it has ripped the bag open, so it’ll be stale squares along with my ham and cheese wrap.
This reminds me of the lunches I’d get at the office pre-covid. Soup / salad / sausage roll / hot meal. Think the hot meal was a fiver, nearly always incredible (like once they had mac and cheese burgers and their jerk chicken was incredible). Big salads were £3 or £4 and you just pointed at stuff and they piled it onto a plate (not really a salad, I’d always get all the potatoes / pasta / coleslaw / olives and loads of hummus). Sausage rolls were amazing, especially if it was something a bit off-piste.
Never ever took lunch in when I realised what a good lunch I could get. They also had cakes. So flippin’ good. Miss it so much.
reminds me of when i briefly worked for news uk (sorry). they had a subsidised canteen on the top floor, you could get like a full english breakfast for about 2.50
