To me there’s no hesitation:

Spiral Scratch would have to be up there, especially Boredom. But all of it really - 10 minutes, 4 songs, now that is beautifully concise …

not sure I’ve ever heard a really good EP.

I guess that Grandaddy one was pretty good.

I love Broken and it’s the obvious choice for me BUT I also absolutely love Fixed too, esp the Coil remix. Together they’re two pretty much perfect EPs.

All 3 of FKA Twigs’ EPs are brilliant and I listen to them all the time, but especially this one;

At the Drive-In’s Vaya EP has to be mentioned. That build up and subsequent explosion near the beginning of “Proxima Centauri” is like getting launched into the sky against your will.

It’s this by some distance

That’s a playlist btw, just leave that baby going

there’s way too many to pick one but i think the first time i realised EPs were legit works of art and left behind my album-centric rockism was probably REMs Chronic Town

progressive metal perfection

It would be by The Cocteau Twins. Either Sunburst and Snowblind

Or Aikea-Guinea

The one EP that I really want is the mid-60s release in Iceland by a group called Thor’s Hammer. I have the songs on compilations and re-issues but I’d love to have the original seven inch vinyl.
