Basic hot sauce can go with anything. Sure some of the more flavoured ones might be a bit harder to argue for, but those that are focussed purely on the variety of pepper are fine anywhere.

Used to love it. Then went off it. I’ve recently warmed to it again, mostly with chips and usually with a hot sauce mixed in.
