Let’s start with a warm up poll.
- I remember lyrics with ease
- I remember mostly choruses, few of my favourites
- I remember key phrases
- I do not remember lyrics much, if at all.
One of my few genuine skills is remembering lyrics.
Do you suffer from longterm memory loss?
(I don’t remember)
There are songs I have loved for like 30+ years and I have no idea what they are singing.
Standing on the corner
Suitcase in my haaaand
Something something something something
If you’ve also got the easy lyric memory thing you can also remember other things eg shopping lists if you sing it to a tune you like
The Simpsons theme works really well I find
And the flinstones
who gives a fuck about an oxford comma
do do dodo do do do
Some but not all of them
Ive seen those english dramas toohoo
Hey babe, take a walk in the wild side
Got a fresh cut straight out the salon, bitch
Was listening to Welcome To The Pleasuredome by Frankie Goes To Hollwood tonight for the first time in about 20 years…remembered every word.
The song that sparked this thread was on the radio earlier.
Never Ever by All Saints
- I could sing this song lyric pretty much perfect
- Something about a shower?
- No idea
Don’t know any
I’m totally bad at remembering lyrics or lines off by heart, unless (a) they just sneak into my head or (b) I’m listening to the songs in question at the time
can’t imagine having that kind of memory
lyrics are just a part of the beautiful sound of the music to me, maaaaaaaaaaannn
This can maybe be just for me and @Funkhouser then.
Robbie Williams Strong
- Mostly, maybe. Ner ner ner ner
I can listen to a song once and probably know most of the words
ONE OF US.
