Think Vietnamese is my favourite if that is what you are asking

Which nation has the best vegan cuisine? I often thought I could never focus enough to stop eating meat, but my mates’ vegan Indian and Thai curries are mindblowingly good.

A little spice goes a long, long way.

Potatoes are of course native first to Mexico

Spain’s pretty good, isn’t it? Paella and really good ham, plus cava, and other stuff.

Italy, though, obviously.

Literally anything good was just nicked from them

and where would the mexicans be without our…err…

yes i agree with italy. sicilian dishes especially are amazing.

Lebanese I reckon. Maybe Mexican or Indian

Italian is probably the nicest overall but harder without cheese

but then i do enjoy a good thai

I work Saturdays in a Spanish place and the scraps of stuff that I eat are alright.

That’s in England though so probably doesn’t count.

Turkey is a great shout tbf

I think people are doing British cuisine a disservice in this thread. It’s not my favourite but it’s not completely out of the conversation. You’ve got full English brekkies, fish and chips, Sunday roasts, bangers and mash, shepherd’s pie, Cornish pasties, Yorkshire pudding, dumplings, stews, apple crumble, banoffee pie, spotted dick, custard. You could easily get by just on British dishes if you really tried.

The correct answer is Chinese though

The question is not

What nation has the most succulent cuisine, pound for pound?

Pre-industrial British food was really interesting too, innovated a lot but also was pretty adventurous mixing different flavours, a far cry from the blandness that’s really just a shadow of the wars and rationing era. Shame it’s mostly disappeared tbh.

not on my watch.
