Went to exchange a shirt at lunchtime in town. I’d called ahead this morning to check they had the size I wanted and ask them to leave it to one side. When I get to the shop, it turns out they’d misheard and kept the same size I was bringing back. Of course, they’ve now sold out of the one I want too :frowning:

Am selling my dad’s house. Have accepted an offer and been told by the Estate Agent that I should get my solicitor to move things along. But they are acting as my solicitor and i havent seen anything.

played about 2 hours of a game without saving (coz i’m a boss), was at full health and walked into the next room and just insta-died for no reason that I can fathom

  1. Sieve the egg to get rid of watery white
  2. Add a dash of vinegar to your water
  3. Heat the water until there’s little bubbles rising, not a full-on mental boil
  4. Vortex the water
  5. Plop egg into middle of vortex
  6. Wait 3 minutes making sure the water stays at the same temperature and doesn’t go mental
  7. Take egg out with slotted spoon and place onto a folded sheet of kitchen roll
  8. Congratulations

Also use the freshest eggs possible. Eggs that have < a week or so left to ‘use by date’ or whatever will always poach badly.

Have broken my TV remote. Until they send a new one I’ve got to change channels by crawling on the floor and jabbing at buttons.
