100% this. It’s actually made me quite angry how they took a workable idea, aesthetic and tone and then ended up with a complete mess of a program. I think it started off pretty well tbh, both Hill and Blunt are good in it, but by the end you’ve got so much arbitrary quirkiness that it’s completely infuriating. So many of the later artistic choices appear to be just because the show creators fancied it…and nothing else. The humour also went downhill as the concept got more “zany” (for example - Hill’s Icleandic character) The hammy-ness of Theroux/Field didn’t help either.

I’m on episode 8. Didn’t know series 2 was so soon! Guess I’ve got to renew amazon. I rarely ever watch tv. Just films. But I love this.

Realllly not seeing the fuss with The Haunting Of Hill House 3 episodes in.

I’m not the greatest horror fan, but this is feeing very bog standard jump scare fare. Nothing fresh or inventive and the rest of the bits holding it together seem so cliche. Dry as a bone scripts, disinterested wooden acting from the adults and the worst kind of forced child acting. Also have a word casting - every single women in each timeline looks exactly the same! Paying pretty close attention, but I haven’t a clue who is who and when is when.

I watched episode 4 last night and thought it was by far the best one so far. I had enjoyed the first 3 though tbf, think the actings been fine in it.
