What thing do you think you'll always like but then are disappointed

Just made (stretch - Ed) myself some French baguette with olive oil and balsamic vinegar to dip into.

Always doesn’t quite hit the spot in the way I think it will do before I eat it.

So what is yours?

Olives.

Had them one time and really liked them. Every time since its been disappointing, can’t bring myself to admit they’re not very nice

Very dependent on the olive. Some olives are rubbish (see black olives and the small green olives).

You want big fat haldikis stuffed with garlic or nocellaras.

I’ve just bought the green ones in a jar, they’re so salty and weird tasting

Peanuts in greater quantities than a cheeky cheeky handful

McDonalds. Only fancy it when hungover. It’s always disappointing (apart from breakfast items)

Nachos.

Top few are great but then you get a soggy, unpleasant mess.

Waggamammas.

Used to be top tier. Now shite. I suspect they’ve reduced the salt, grease, or some other vital ingredient.

I crave it so much but it’s pretty much instant regret and disappointment.:sob:
