Just started re-watching (for the third time now) Don’t Trust the Bitch in Apartment 23. So fucking funny. Cannot understand why it was canned after 2 seasons. Kristen Ritter is superb, as is James van der Beek.

@Witches did you see the new series of Easy starts new month?

Ooooo!!! No I did not see this!!! Amazing

Super exciting, eh? Still one of my favourite Netflix series and that’s some awesome new cast additions :slightly_smiling_face:

I don’t think there’s a separate thread for all the Marvel shows (one for the films, though). Should I start one?

Anyone watching the western Godless on Netflix?

I’m 3 or 4 episodes in - it’s pretty decent. Jeff Daniels is a bad man in it, and is doing a pretty good job of playing that bad man

started the netflix unabomber thing

it’s kinda shit

Yeah, I’ve seen the first 3. I’m really enjoying it and it’s holding my attention despite the long episode length.

what’s that?

finished it now - it’s really good right to the end

it’s like a crap mindhunter

fictionalised series about the hunt for the unabomber following an fbi profiler

Babylon Berlin - it’s really good. Lovely sense of that period, lot of bare butts and excellent dancing.

Finally got round to starting the second season of Lady Dynamite! It’s as brilliant as ever.

I’ve been thinking about watching lady dynamite! You’d recommend? What’s it like?

P.S. Hello! Hope you’re good!!

Most of the way through Dark. It basically is German Stranger Things, but a bit more, er, dunkles.

I think you’d absolutely love it! Maria Bamford is a total genuis. The show is chock full of densely written jokes which are all sorts of weird and wonderful but there’s plenty of contemplative moments to ponder over too!

I wondered exactly the same thing going into this season! Loving the focus on her parents in the past timeline but not quite sure about everything going on in’ the future’ at the mo

Spent the last week watching The Crown. Wasn’t keen on the first few eps of Series 1 but stuck with it and the first season slowly became better, quite enjoyable, if not something I’d recommend specifically.

I’m finding the second season more interesting though. Episode 6 is really excellent - great acting from Claire Foy and Alex Jennings, and the plotline feels so relevant (it’s all about Edward VIII’s association with Hitler/Nazi sympathies). Good episode review here if you don’t want to watch it: http://www.vulture.com/2017/12/the-crown-recap-season-2-episode-6.html

Also Princess Margaret’s photographer boyf is quite sexy.

[Although in principle I totally oppose the monarchy, in practice it’s not something I can get riled up about unless monarchists are frothing at the mouth about DUTY and HONOUR and other guff. To me, the Queen as she is in old age bore quite a resemblance to my nan, so I have always felt an irrational and sentimental fondness for her as a result - especially since my nan died.]
