Somebody told me to watch Doctor Foster so I am. First episode was alright, pretty standard BBC drama. Is it good?

Started Ozark. I love the look of it and how the town is like a Spielberg from the 80s town but completely broken. Quite like how Jason Bateman is a bit of a cross between Walter White and Saul Goodman.

I gave up shortly into Series 2. Enjoy! :grinning:

The missus has just started this (neither of us have watched it) and I feel myself gradually being pulled in…

It is good. A bit slow but highly watchable.

Method Man is actually a very decent actor. Quite underrated IMHO.

It is utterly ridiculous. The first series was fine if full of plot holes. The 2nd is just ludicrous, gave up on it and just seen what happens on it via Gogglebox. Nonsense.

It’s brilliant isn’t it? Properly brilliant

Yep. Great stuff

I enjoyed The Defenders, I think I went through it all in one weekend. Daredevil s2 was better than s1, mainly due to the Punisher story line, John Bernthal was excellent and therefore I am very much looking forward to the Punisher series in a couple of weeks.

Watching the ken burns vietnam thing that’s on iplayer. Pretty guid if you like that kind of thing, I had thought that ken burns was the guy that narrated all his documentaries but turns out it’s someone else.

Although it felt slightly like it was part of another show, I really enjoy everything going on with Eugene and Hitler in Hell - those flashbacks to Munich in 1919 were excruciating!

Finished watching the second series of Humans last night.

As with the first series, think that it could probably have done with being trimmed down from eight episodes to six. That said, the conclusion was very satisfying and overall I found the second series better than the first. Having recently watched Bladerunner 2 (in itself, about the same length as an entire series of Humans) much preferred the synthetic characters’ humanity to the replicants’. Hester in particular is such a blandly terrifying character. Given how the finale of this played out it will be interesting to see how large a world they explore with series three…

watched ep1 of Snowfall on iPlayer last night - looks like it could be really good

Loving The Deuce

Would you recommend it to someone who (in spite of loving almost everything else the cast have done) didn’t enjoy the film or previous series?

Getting really into Superstore, which has a great Parks & Rec/The Office ensemble-cast vibe (the creator was one of The Office team, Justin Spitzer).

S1 isn’t anywhere near as good as P&R at its best, but is deinitely better than S1 of P&R so I’m looking forward to the much-longer second season.

Surprised no-one’s mentioned Big Mouth yet, either. Very much FFO Bojack and Rick & Morty, but not as depressing or pretentious (respectively) as either.

Just finished The Leftovers - what a bloody show. Amazing that the same guy was partly responsible for Prometheus. My TV hated it, which is also perfectly understandable.
