I use denon perl pro for exercise and work…
Nuraphone headphones for travel
And I scored a pair of zmf headphones 3rd hand for listening to vinyl (was not ready for the headphone amp and stuff that went with this)
Which are the best for everyday? I want to upgrade the denon this year

I use Nuraphones too - they’ve started to break as I had the very first edition and have used them a lot. I also have the in-ears but they’re a) really uncomfortable, despite changing the tips b) not great at noise cancelling as the tech I guess is a bit old.
Denon bought Nuraphone didn’t they?

They did and the denon ones use the same tech now for listening profiles… which is good, I not totally convinced it makes a massive difference but it’s interesting to try the different setups.
The nuraphones, I do travel at least one week a month for work and they are really good for that, they work on the plane and for calls and have pretty solid music playback - they are not for walking the streets listening for hours though…

especially when hot, they get sweaty so quick
I have a pair of Sony WH1000-XM3s for out and about, after years of in-ear phones they were a game changer, battery lasts ages and they sound great. The only disadvantage is the noise cancelling is so good you have to be very careful crossing the road!
For home use I have a pair of open backed Sennheiser HD650s that I’ve had for ten years now, they still sound excellent but the foam inside the ear cups is falling apart and the cushioning in the head band has compressed to almost nothing, so I’m eyeing some new ones (these are top of the list atm)

Philips Fidelio X2 HR for home listening - amazing sound stage - very wide sounding. Particuarly good for video games and movies as a result as its closer to speaker listening than headphone listening. No good for outdoor use as open back and HUGE (like comically large). Got decent umph to the bass [usually a trade-off for open back’s but it’s avoided here - which is why I think I like them so much] but the high end is a tad disappointing as it sounds a tad grainy but for the price they go at - very happy with them. Practically indistructable as well
B&W P5 S2 for commute listening - Very nice high end and very detailed for bluetooth headphones - dont think I like them quite as much as my old Momentum 3’s which sounded so lovely and warm whilst these are a bit more clinical - but I still like them a lot given the clarity they provide which is quite rare in Bluetooth headphones and I’m a bit of a clarity fiend.
