Well what an interesting question! Seeing as you ask it was the M6 just last night coming home from the pictures in Kendal. I got on at J36 and came off at J34. Me driving. Mostly just lorries on the road so I zoomed along the middle and outer lanes for the most part. Lovely bit of motorway.

Your neck of the woods and north is ok. Everything below blackpool is a fucking disaster.
I like the M58. Kinda pointless. Very fast and quiet. Switch Island with its illuminated lanes at one end, my home at the other end.

It’s always going to be the M4 for me, because I don’t really go anywhere, and if I do go anywhere I have to go on the M4 to get home. I quite like the M4, particularly because I get to cross one or other of an set of awesome bridges (though technically one of them is on the M48, but shush)
