I’ve never seen it if I’m honest but she’s 5 years older than me!
remember thinking it was awful, not funny, not dramatic, not anything, just irritating, self absorbed people talking fast
quite like it. all the characters are completely deplorable.
But enough about DiS!!
Whereas, from your username, you’d prefer irritating, self absorbed people, talking very slowly and looking out over sunsets and cornfields?
Meant to be a reply to @japes
Really?? Christ I feel old - she looks like a child. Remember falling in love with her in Sin City so I imagine there will come a point where she’s a bit older but still a wee bit young and I feel confused.
Just a few months ago I hadn’t heard of it at all. Now we’ve reached the end of Season 2 and it’s… it’s just wonderful. Essential comfort viewing for these dark times, yes, but scratch the surface just a little bit and it’s even more stunning - a fully functioning community of well-rounded characters, not one of whom feels like a caricature.
Really, the only thing Gilmore Girls has against it is that the insipid acoustic/la la la soundtrack - but even that seems to be less prevalent as the show progresses.
The girl who played Lane was 45 when it first aired.
what one is your favourite
I’m as surprised as you, she looks like a kid in the early series.
You’re right, about half of them do.
Dunno about that pal, the supporting cast of townsfolk are all brilliantly one-note, that’s the point of them IMO
Assumed you were older than this??
the themetune’s great imo, title sequence is ugly though
She was 27 in the first series, playing a 15-year-old, which is almost as surreal.
I watched a lot of Gilmore Girls while hungover when I briefly lived with my mate Ian, earlier this year we had his stag do and the best man asked everyone to contribute a song that made us think of Ian to a playlist, so I chose the Gilmore Girls theme tune. Was a lovely moment, all sat round getting sloshed and listening to its cheery jangle.
Woah!!!
on netflix the episodes are in 16:9 but the title sequence is in letterboxed 4:3
quite annoying
