Normally Christmas morning I’m nursing a blockbuster hangover so will have a drink to get back on it, probably won’t bother this year

My girlfriend and I hadn’t planned to spend it with just each other so we’re taking the opportunity to break with tradition.

Going seafood heavy, got oysters followed by prawn and smoked salmon cocktail and then lobster, chips and salad as the main. Got some Prosecco with oysters, Georgian orange wine for with dinner and red and cheese for the evening.

Got a Duck today,

Duck,
Roast Potatoes
Carrots
Parsnips
Pigs in Blankets
Sprouts with bacon and chestnuts.
Redcurrent jelly
Gravy.
Not looked what the stuffing is.

Cheeseboard from M&S with @ 6 types

Vienetta and Christmas Cake for dessert.

Driving up to my GFs mum’s on Christmas day, so booze at breakfast of the table, but I suspect there will be bucks fizz with a light lunch of pork pie and salad.

Got a couple of nice reds, a pinot grigio, late bottled port, spiced rum, rum, whiskey and cointreau as booze options.

Couldn’t get a turkey to have any kind of British Christmas dinner (as we’re not doing the usual Swedish/Estonian combo)

And the 7yo decided about 2 months ago that she didn’t want to eat animals anymore

So me & the teenager are gonna have;

Roast lamb
Roast potatoes
Cauli cheese
Carrots
Broccoli
Peas
Sauerkraut (yeah I know, but it’s part of Christmas here)

and I guess the TV & 7yo will be having all of that without the lamb

The parents just left us a bunch of the traditional stuff so we’ll be eating some of that too during the day;
Skagenröra (cold prawn & caviar/prawn cocktail type thing)
Inlagd strömming (really excellent home made pickled herring)
Rosolje (Estonian beet & potato salad)
Senapsill (sweet mustard herring)

Etc

As well as champagne, various wines, nuts, cheeses, snacks & a fuckton of chocolates

:pray:t3:

Really wanted some crumpets for breakfast but there’s only 1 shop in Stockholm that sells them and I cba

Gonna have julvort (Christmas raisin bread/malt loaf kind of thing)

The correct answer is: alcohol whilst cooking breakfast

correct answer is simultaneously trying to hold in last night’s Goldschlager whilst downing a full carton of Copella from the bottle, and trying to haul yourself out of bed for 11 to start help with the stupid turkey that you won’t even enjoy.

Well I didn’t realise were talking about the degree level course.

Is this a barb at the fact that I never grew up past 19 years old?

Because you’d be correct.

I too drink shots of goldschlager at the pub on Xmas eve:

Feeling very relieved we decided to knock the whole turkey thing on the head this year. Couldn’t 100% tell you exactly what we’ll be having, although it’ll be close to @urbanfox’s efforts, but I am 100% sure that breakfast will be prepared accompanied by some extremely poky bloody marys.

I mean lots of people have a tomato juice with breakfast don’t they? You can’t even see the vodka so it’s not even really there.
