tbf I’ve heard of a few places being alleged inspirations for Black Books. someone said it to me about Bookfinders in Belfast once (which put me off going into it for years but they’ve actually been fine when I’ve been in it). Could well be various inspirations though I guess!

The guys running it treated some of the staff like shit and were general bellends.
The other two comic shops were great so I used them instead.

I love 50s rockabilly/rock’n’roll music, have tons of old 45s etc. But I don’t go to clubs/gigs that play that music because so many fans of it are dicks.
